Winter Beer-lympics Fundraiser at Hops & Hounds
Shake off the mid-winter blues and join us for a fun-filled day of competition and camaraderie at the Winter Beer-lympics on Saturday, February 1st, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST at Hops & Hounds, located at 317 Belgrade Rd, Oak Ridge.
👫 Team Up for the Games:
Grab a partner and compete in a variety of classic beer-inspired games, including:
Beer Pong
Flip Cup
Beer Relays
Keg Rolls

🎟️ Registration Details:
Cost: $30 per team (includes a meal from our food truck)
Teams will compete for ultimate bragging rights and a spot on the podium! Winners will be crowned at 5:00 PM.

This event is more than just fun—it’s a fundraiser for one of our own. All proceeds will go toward medical funds for one of our employees who is currently battling breast cancer. Your participation helps make a difference!

Roaring 20s Speakeasy Night at Big Ridge State Park!
Step back in time to the Jazz Age at Big Ridge State Park's Roaring 20s Speakeasy on February 15th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rec Hall.
Channel your inner flapper or dapper gentleman as we transform the evening into a lively 1920s celebration. Enjoy delectable mock-tails and learn to do the Charleston while exploring fascinating stories about Union County during the prohibition era.
🎩 Dress the Part:
Wear your favorite 1920s-inspired attire—feathered headbands, pearl necklaces, and pinstripe suits are all encouraged!
🍹 Mock-tails & More:
This is a NO ALCOHOL event, featuring delicious mock-tails and authentic "speakeasy" foods. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies or sensitivities.

Birds of Prey Hike at Seven Islands State Birding Park - TODAY
Explore the fascinating world of raptors at the Birds of Prey Hike on January 18, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Seven Islands State Birding Park.
This guided hike covers approximately 3 miles, where participants will have the opportunity to observe hawks, vultures, kestrels, owls, and even eagles in their natural habitats. Along the way, you'll learn about the unique habitats these majestic birds call home and the key field marks to help you identify them.
🎯 Event Details:
Price: $8.00 per person
Pre-registration is required.

Water
Weather-appropriate clothing
Binoculars and field guides are available to borrow if needed.
