Historic Fourth and Gill Tour of Homes & Secret Gardens

May 4 from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM Check-In Location: Central United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third Avenue

Step back in time and experience the charm of Fourth and Gill, a National Register historic district, as it opens its doors and gardens for an afternoon of exploration.

This year’s tour highlights the stunning Gothic Revival architecture of Central United Methodist Church, six beautiful homes, and four breathtaking secret gardens. Stroll through this vibrant neighborhood and admire homes that showcase Victorian elegance (1880–1915) with intricate trim, asymmetrical designs, and unique rooflines.

Mary Alice Sinton Lecture: Japanese Embroidery & Beading

April 8, 6:30 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church(6900 Kingston Pike)

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, the Knoxville Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA) invites you to a special lecture on Japanese Embroidery and Beading by renowned instructor Mary Alice Sinton.

Sinton has been accredited by the Japanese Embroidery Center since 1999 and will be in Knoxville teaching a class for the EGA Chapter. This lecture is a fantastic opportunity to explore the international artistry that inspires members of the Knoxville Chapter.

 Open to the public! Any curious stitchers are welcome to attend up to two Chapter events before joining EGA.
