The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency invites everyone to enjoy the great outdoors during Free Fishing Day, when fishing on Tennessee waters requires no license—just your sense of adventure!

In celebration, the Knox County Parks and Rec Team is hosting a Community Fishing Day at The Cove, offering a fun, beginner-friendly way to join in this statewide event. Whether you're a seasoned angler or casting your first line, there's something for everyone!

Event Features:

  • Free fishing access (no license required)

  • On-site instruction for beginners

  • Fishing gear rentals

  • Themed outdoor activities for the whole family

All proceeds benefit our #CircusForEveryBody initiative, which brings the magic of circus arts to under-served and special-needs communities. And, your support also fuels our scholarship program for kids—helping the next generation discover confidence, creativity, and joy under the big top.
