Marble City Opera Closes 2024-25 Season with Outdoor Performances of Pagliacci in Oak Ridge
Marble City Opera invites audiences to experience the passion and tragedy of one of opera’s most iconic works—Ruggero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci—as the company closes its 2024-25 mainstage season with two powerful performances on Thursday, June 5, and Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the A.K. Bissell Park Bandshell Pavilion in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Tickets are available now at MarbleCityOpera.com.
Known for its gripping tale of infidelity, jealousy, and revenge, Pagliacci tells the story of a traveling commedia dell’arte troupe whose onstage comedy mirrors the heartbreak unfolding in real life—culminating in a dramatic and unforgettable climax.
Marble City Opera’s Executive Artistic Director Kathryn Frady, who also directs the production, shared her excitement about the venue:
The production features a live orchestra conducted by Andy Anderson, with Lauren Lenz serving as assistant director.
Set against the natural beauty of Oak Ridge and the unique architecture of the park’s bandshell, this open-air production promises to be a visually striking and emotionally stirring experience for both seasoned opera lovers and newcomers alike.
Don’t miss this unforgettable end to Marble City Opera’s season—bring a chair or blanket, and prepare to be transported by one of opera’s most gripping dramas under the stars.
