Out of an abundance of caution, the United Veterans Council of East Tennessee has announced the cancellation of its Free Veterans Breakfasts scheduled for today due to weather conditions across the region.

The cancellation affects all planned breakfast locations, including Oliver Springs, Knoxville, Louisville, Wears Valley, and Newport. These community breakfasts are a valued tradition for local veterans, offering not only a free meal but also a welcoming space for fellowship, gratitude, and connection.

These breakfasts remain an important part of the Council’s mission to honor and support those who have served, and the organization looks forward to welcoming everyone back soon under safer conditions.

Those looking for a rewarding career that truly makes a difference are invited to attend the Knoxville Caregiver Job Fair on February 9th, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the New Harvest Park Community Building (4775 New Harvest Lane). Hosted by Synergy HomeCare of Knoxville-Morristown, the event offers an opportunity to explore in-demand caregiving roles serving seniors and clients throughout Knoxville and the surrounding areas.

This hiring event is open to both experienced caregivers and individuals interested in entering the healthcare field. Attendees will have the chance to meet directly with the Synergy HomeCare team, learn about available positions, and discover how caregiving can grow into a long-term, fulfilling career. Walk-ins are welcome, making it easy for job seekers to stop by, ask questions, and take the next step.
