Business Spotlight on VFL Real Estate, Realty Executives
VFL Real Estate, powered by Realty Executives, represents an exciting new chapter built on experience, collaboration, and long-standing relationships within the Knoxville & East Tennessee community. Rooted in a client-first philosophy, the brokerage brings together a team dedicated to providing knowledgeable guidance, thoughtful communication, and seamless support throughout every step of the buying and selling process.
VFL Real Estate team owner Steven Hensley is a former University of Tennessee football player and student athlete who brings the same work ethic, teamwork, and discipline he developed on the football field to every client interaction and business decision.
The leadership story behind VFL Real Estate also adds a meaningful layer to its foundation. In 2018, when Steven wrote his very first real estate contract, he was connected with a transaction coordination group within Realty Executives, where he began working alongside Barbara Newton. Over the course of more than 1,000 contracts, that professional partnership evolved into something much greater. Today, Barbara serves as Broker of VFL Real Estate, bringing the relationship full circle. What started as operational support has grown into a shared vision built on service, strong systems, and lasting client relationships.
Carrie Hensley, Steven’s wife, serves as the VFL Real Estate Director of Business Operations and shares his passion for cultivating a team that truly puts clients first. She plays a key role in ensuring each transaction is organized, efficient, and well-managed from start to finish.
Today, VFL Real Estate is proud to include 19 agents, four licensed operations team members, and a dedicated marketing manager — all unified by a commitment to professionalism and exceptional client care. That commitment has translated into measurable success, with the team closing 316 transactions in 2025 — a reflection of both the trust placed in them by the incredible Knoxville & East Tennessee community and their dedication to delivering results for the people they are fortunate enough to serve.
If you ever need guidance on real estate — now or in the future — give us a call (865.393.9336) or visit our website (vflrealestate.com). We’re here when you need us.
