If you've got a kid who lights up at the sight of a fire truck or a police car (or a Big Orange Zoom Room classic), Chick-fil-A Hardin Valley (10909 Spring Bluff Way) is hosting a Touch-A-Truck event on July 21st from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM — a free, two-hour event where kids get to do way more than just look at the vehicles. They can climb aboard, ask questions, and meet the real people who drive them every day.

The lineup includes a Karns Fire Department truck, a Knox County Sheriff's Department vehicle, an Army National Guard vehicle, and a 5-Ton Wrecker. That's four very different kinds of big vehicles — and four very different kinds of heroes to meet and learn from.

Faith-N-Friends, a Knoxville-area horse rescue and sanctuary, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a Birthday Bash on July 24th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Corryton Community Club (9331 Davis Drive, Corryton) — and the whole community is invited.

This milestone belongs to everyone who's been part of the journey. Whether you've volunteered your time, shared your talents, donated to the cause, or simply cheered Faith-N-Friends on from the sidelines over the past decade — this celebration is for you. Ten years of compassion, hard work, and dedication to horses who needed a second chance is no small thing, and the team wants to mark it properly.

Come enjoy the festivities, reconnect with the community that's made it all possible, and help look forward to the next decade together.

Kat Mahn of Kat's Purrfect Getaways is hosting a Cruise Education Night: Celebration of Music Down the Danube on August 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reef Coffee (138 West End Ave, Farragut) — a relaxed, two-hour evening designed to give you the full picture on an upcoming group cruise with AmaWaterways, one of the top names in river cruising.

The trip on the table is the Best of the Danube: Celebration of Music, sailing from Budapest on August 18, 2027 — and Kat will walk you through everything: itinerary highlights, what the onboard experience actually looks like, what's included, and the special group details that make going with a local travel host different from booking on your own.

Gibbs Youth Sports is hosting their End of Summer Bash on July 26th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gibbs Ruritan Park (7827 Tazewell Pike NE, Corryton) — a free, family-friendly afternoon built around good food and local shopping.

The vendor lineup covers a lot of ground: food trucks and food vendors, local small businesses, sports-related organizations, pet-friendly vendors, home and lifestyle businesses, and kid-friendly activities and entertainment. Whether you're there to shop, eat, or just let the kids run around for a few hours, there's something to do the whole afternoon.

Gibbs Youth Sports will also be running Fall Baseball & Softball Sign-Ups during the event — so if you've been waiting to register your player for the upcoming season, this is a great time to get it done in person and ask questions face to face.
