Knox County Parks & Rec wraps up its Sunset Cinema: Movies in the Park series with a screening of Jaws on August 7th at 7:00 PM at The Cove at Concord Park (11808 S Northshore Drive) — an outdoor movie night that starts with pre-screening activities and rolls into the film once the sun goes down.

This is the final stop in a summer series that's already hit Carl Cowan Park, Powell Station Park, Carter Park, SportsPark, and Clayton Park with films like Jurassic World Rebirth and Lilo & Stitch along the way. Jaws is a fitting way to close it out — a classic summer blockbuster, under the stars, with the water right there.

Grab your picnic blanket, bring the whole family, and grab concessions on-site.

Floyd's Antiques and Estate Sales (1900 West Emory Rd, Powell) is hosting Christmas in July on July 25th from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM — a full nine-hour celebration that somehow manages to be festive and summery at the same time.

Here's what the day looks like: Santa (in his Hawaii shirt, naturally) will be on-site from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for professional photos at just $5 each — and yes, dogs and pets are welcome in the picture. Floyd's will have a BIG indoor sale with vendor booths, highlighted deals, and a collection of Vintage Christmas items that will be hard to walk past. Outside vendors kick things off at 9:00 AM, and a classic car cruise runs all day long for a bonus dose of summer nostalgia.

If you've ever wanted to shop for vintage Christmas décor in July while a golden retriever poses with Santa next to a '57 Chevy, this is the event you didn't know you needed.

The Winery at Seven Springs Farm (1474 Highway 61 E, Maynardville) is hosting a Pressed Flower Mason Jar Class on July 30th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM — and space is limited, so if this sounds like your kind of evening, grab your spot now.

In two hours, you'll create three 10 oz. glass mason jars decorated with real pressed flowers, each finished with a rustic jute bow and a warm flickering candlelight inside. They're ready to go straight to your home, your patio, or wrapped as a handmade gift. Your class ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine to enjoy while you work.

Knox County Mobile Meals and the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee are hosting Power of the Purse® 2026 on September 17th at Rothchild Catering and Conference Center (8807 Kingston Pike) — doors open at 4:45 PM and Purse Madness starts at 6:00 PM sharp.

Here's the concept: hundreds of beautiful purses and jewelry pieces, priced across a wide range, fill a sale room you get to shop. On top of that, there are amazing auction packages and a Jewelry Corner stocked with pieces to accessorize any occasion. Your ticket includes a light dinner, a drink ticket, and full access to the Purse Madness Sale Room, with a cash bar available all evening.

Every dollar raised goes directly to Knox County Mobile Meals, which delivers nutritious noon-time meals to 1,100 homebound seniors across Knox County every single weekday. Funding for the program is shrinking while need is growing — which makes events like this one genuinely matter.

Tickets are on sale now. Tables of 10 make this a great option for a girls' night out or a workplace group.
