Salty Dog Seafood Festival is Coming Soon!
Knoxville’s first Salty Dog Seafood Festival, a fantastic three-day event will be held from Friday-Sunday, July 19th-21st at the World’s Fair Park on the Performance Lawn. Enjoy fresh seafood, live music, arts and crafts, and beer and wine gardens. There's also a large kids' area for family fun. Admission is $5.00, with food and drinks available for purchase from various vendors.
This event supports the Ronald McDonald House of Knoxville and The Little Ponderosa Zoo & Rescue.

Visit the Pinnacle Farmers Market at Turkey Creek
This farmers market is open every Sunday through the end of July from 11am to 3pm at the Pinnacle Farmers Market, 11251 Parkside Drive.
Enjoy a delightful selection of fresh produce from four vegetable stands, tasty treats from several bakeries, unique crafts, and food trucks. You might want to try the best chicken salad around (according to one of our readers!). Don't forget to grab a refreshing drink from the coffee and lemonade trucks.
It's a perfect Sunday outing to support local vendors and enjoy the community atmosphere.

Marine Mud Run!
Get ready for the ultimate challenge that only the Marines can deliver on Saturday, August 31st! The Marine Mud Run is back, and it's set to test your limits with an exhilarating course that's as tough as it is fun. With approximately three miles of off-road running, this adventure is packed with obstacles, hills, and, of course, plenty of mud pits. Expect nothing less from the Marines!
This off-road 5K takes you through scenic trails and fields, presenting a mix of natural and man-made obstacles that will push you to your limits. Whether you're an individual competitor or part of a team, this course promises an unforgettable experience. Be sure to wear old clothing and shoes because you’re going to get muddy!
Commemorative T-Shirts: Every participant will receive a MudRun T-shirt during Packet Pick-up, provided you selected this option during registration. Wear it with pride as a badge of honor!
Larry Winters Memorial Kid's Mud Run: Designed for kids 12 and under, this 1-mile event ensures the young ones can join in the fun safely. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. We cherish our young mud runners and prioritize their safety while ensuring they have a blast.
New This Year: Kids participating in the event will receive T-shirts and free snow cones.

The primary elections for the U.S. House of Representatives, Tennessee Senate, and Tennessee House of Representatives will take place on Thursday, August 1st. Voters will choose their preferred candidates for the Republican and Democratic parties in these races, with the general election scheduled for November. Additionally, several Knox County elections will be decided through a general election on the same day.
