The Crucible Course Knoxville by PAINKLLR

On Saturday, October 26th, the highly anticipated Crucible Course, produced by PAINKLLR in partnership with U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, will take place at 165 South Concord Street, Knoxville. This event offers a challenging partner experience where teams will work together to complete four tasks, each based on the attributes of U.S. Air Force Special Warfare Operators. It’s a demanding test of physical and mental endurance that promises to push participants to their limits.

The course is designed to simulate real-world challenges, requiring not just physical strength but also key skills like communication, teamwork, problem-solving under stress, and maintaining drive and integrity. With an average completion time of 1 hour and 15 minutes, this event is perfect for those seeking to embrace the unknown and conquer obstacles alongside their partner.

The Crucible Course is a free event and will take place rain or shine. The specific tasks are not released ahead of time to emphasize the importance of embracing uncertainty and staying committed to the challenge. The course is split into four sections, and each participant will be tested on more than just their fitness level.

Every competitor who successfully completes the course will earn a Crucible Patch as a mark of their accomplishment. Heats will be run on a first-come, first-served basis depending on your time slot. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or someone looking for a new challenge, The Crucible Course promises a thrilling experience. More Info

McClung Museum After Hours

Make your Halloween extra spooky with a creative twist at an exclusive after-hours painting experience at the McClung Museum! Dive into the Halloween spirit by joining us for a unique event where you'll take part in a guided tour of the temporary exhibition, Coming Into View, followed by a hands-on painting session.

The evening kicks off with a curator-led tour of the exhibition, where you'll explore captivating fall-themed artwork. In particular, you'll get inspiration from After Glow by John Francis Murphy, which will serve as the creative basis for your own painting. After the tour, you’ll roll up your sleeves and join Curator Katy Malone for a step-by-step painting session. With Katy’s guidance and all materials provided, you’ll create your very own fall landscape masterpiece to take home and display.

Tickets for this event are $30 with a promo code for Museum Members and $40 for non-members. Your ticket includes an exclusive guided tour, all painting supplies (canvas, brushes, and paints), step-by-step art instruction, and two drink tickets for your choice of wine, beer, or a specialty mocktail.
