Smoky Mountain Fall Festival at Ober Mountain

The Smoky Mountain Fall Festival at Ober Mountain continues through November 3rd, offering a fun-filled celebration for the whole family. This exciting event features daily live music, specialty food items, and family-friendly activities that capture the spirit of the season.

Guests can enjoy fall favorites like Ober Dunkel Brats, Pumpkin Spice Fudge, Pretzels with Yee-Haw Dunkel Beer Cheese, and Grilled Corn on the Cob, while beer lovers can toast with German brews such as Hofbrau and Spaten, along with local favorites from East Tennessee’s Yee-Haw Brewing Co.

One of the festival highlights is the Classic Country Hoe Down on October 12th, featuring live performances by “Mountain Highway” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the “Cory Zink Band” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Families can also enjoy nightly outdoor movies on the giant screen, creating a perfect backdrop for fall fun.

Pumpkin carving enthusiasts won’t want to miss the daily carving sessions from October 5th through the 13th, culminating in the Giant Pumpkin Festival on October 12th and 13th. Watch as skilled carvers transform 100-pound pumpkins into impressive works of art throughout the weekend.

Farragut Harvest Fest

The 4th Annual Farragut Harvest Fest, a community celebration filled with fall fun, will take place on Sunday, October 27th, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Village Green Shopping Center, 11505 Kingston Pike in Farragut. Organized by Shop Farragut, this free event will showcase vendors from across the Farragut business community, offering over five dozen retail and promotional booths, as well as food trucks, beverage vendors, and four hours of live entertainment.

One of the festival's highlights is the “Visit each booth – Trick or Treating” experience, where vendors will pass out goodies (while supplies last). Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume and participate in the highly anticipated Halloween Costume Contest. Categories include Best Baby, Best Child under 12, Best Pet, Best Group, Best Over 50, and the grand prize, Best of Festival/Judges' Choice. Registration begins upon arrival, and the first contest kicks off at 3:30 p.m.

This year’s esteemed panel of judges includes Farragut Vice Mayor and North Ward Alderman Scott Meyer, 5th District Knox County School Board Member Lauren Morgan, and WIVK 107.7FM Morning Show Personality Joey Tack.

Local businesses participating in the event span a variety of retailers, food vendors, and personal services. Festival-goers can grab food and drinks from favorites like Water Into Wine, Mucho Gusto, the Hot Dog Hut, and Kona Ice. Even furry friends can join in on the fun with treats from the Salty Paws Ice Cream Truck.

Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff to benefit Mane Support

Join us for the Annual Fall Festival & Chili Cook-off in support of Mane Support at the “Spirit of Hope Ranch” in Rockwood on Saturday, October 26th! Located at 1522 New Hope Road, this exciting event will feature a chili cook-off, live music, hot dogs, games, arts and crafts, and plenty of fun for the whole family. Doors open at 2 p.m., with the chili contest judging from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and food and festival activities starting at 5 p.m. To enter the chili contest, be sure to arrive by 3 p.m.

This is our sixth annual event, and we are thrilled to continue the tradition of bringing the community together to support Mane Support, a non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted grief counseling for children, adults, and families in East Tennessee. Mane Support’s work helps those who have experienced grief and trauma heal through the unique bond between humans and horses. During the event, you’ll also have the chance to meet some of our beloved therapy horses, including Elvis, Skylar, Ricky Bobby, and more.

Tickets are $15 per person or $30 for families, and all proceeds go directly to benefit Mane Support.

Boo at the Zoo Begins October 10th at Zoo Knoxville!
