A Night of Scary Stories with Smoky Mountain Storytellers
Prepare for a spine-tingling evening of eerie entertainment as the Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association brings A Night of Scary Stories to Ijams Nature Center on Tuesday, October 29! From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, enjoy a captivating blend of ghostly tales, historical horrors, and lighthearted spooky fun—perfect for celebrating the Halloween season.
The Smoky Mountain Storytellers are a group of seasoned storytellers who love sharing the rich heritage of Appalachian folklore and beyond. This special evening will feature a collection of classic and contemporary tales, guaranteed to send shivers down your spine while keeping you entertained. While the event is generally family-friendly, some stories may be too spooky for younger children, so parental discretion is advised.
Event Details:
Doors open at 6:00 PM, stories begin at 7:00 PM.
Tickets: $10 for adults, $5 for kids (ages 5-12).
Food and drink: The Spiffy Spud food truck will be on-site, along with the Ijams Beer Garden and concession area serving hot chocolate, spiced cider, hot coffee, and more.

Hallowings Trunk-or-Treat: A Spooktacular Family Event at Downtown Island Airport
🎃🕯️ Get ready for a Halloween adventure like no other! On Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, bring your family to the Hallowings Trunk-or-Treat at Downtown Island Airport (DKX) for an afternoon full of fun, candy, and aviation excitement!
This FREE family-friendly event invites kids of all ages to enjoy a unique “Trunk-or-Treat” experience, complete with trick-or-treating from plane to plane! There will be a variety of aircraft on display, giving children the chance to get up close and explore.
