Ice Bears - Opening Night

Join the Ice Bears for the thrilling Opening Night of their 23rd season on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 7:05 PM as they take on the Quad City Storm. Monsters at the Museum

Monsters at the Museum is a family-friendly Halloween event at the Museum of East Tennessee History on October 26, 2024, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Enjoy Halloween crafts, games, trick-or-treating through the museum's exhibits, and interactive stations showcasing Appalachian legends, spooky history, and local lore. Highlights include story time at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, a scavenger hunt, and themed displays like jack-o-lanterns and Victorian mourning traditions. Costumes are encouraged, and admission is free, with sponsorship from Downtown Knoxville Alliance. More Info

Fall Frolic Craft Fair & Festival at Marble Springs on October 19th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Enjoy a day of fall festivities with local craft vendors, cabin-to-cabin Trick-or-Treating, and a costume contest—perfect for showing off your Halloween spirit! There will be something for everyone, from unique crafts to fun family activities, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Marble Springs in the fall. Film Fest Knox: November 14-17 at Regal Riviera

Film Fest Knox returns to the Regal Riviera in downtown Knoxville from November 14–17, 2024, with its second annual American Regional Cinema Competition. This year's lineup includes Bitterroot, Bob Trevino Likes It, Griffin in Summer, The World Drops Dead, and To Kill a Wolf. The Best Film will be awarded an Oscar-qualifying theatrical run, courtesy of REGAL. Additional honors include Best Director and a Jury Prize.

The American Regional Cinema Competition celebrates the diverse and ambitious filmmaking taking place outside industry hubs like Los Angeles and New York. Directors Vera Brunner-Sung, Tracie Laymon, Nicholas Colia, Brandon Colvin, and Kelsey Taylor will be in attendance, alongside cast and crew members, to introduce their films and engage in Q&A sessions.

These filmmakers have been featured at world-renowned festivals such as Sundance, South by Southwest, and Tribeca. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the future of regional cinema and engage with the creators driving its growth. More Info

Christmas Marketplace at the Historic Ramsey House

Get into the holiday spirit with a unique shopping experience at the Christmas Marketplace at Historic Ramsey House on November 9, 2024. Artisans and vintage curators from near and far will gather on the beautiful grounds to showcase their creations, offering a wide variety of handcrafted items, including quilts, paintings, jewelry, and home décor—perfect for your holiday gift shopping.

This free event is family-friendly and includes onsite food, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to find special gifts. Visitors can also tour the stunning 1797 Ramsey House for just $10 per person. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the season with history, shopping, and fun! More Info
