2024 Knoxville Zombie Walk

Get ready to unleash your inner zombie at the 2024 Knoxville Zombie Walk, a charity event for Helping Mamas Knoxville! Sponsored by Daylight to Dark and Tennessee Macabre, this spooky gathering will take place at Scruffy City Hall on October 26th. Participants are encouraged to bring a donation to join in on the undead fun.

The event kicks off at 2:00 PM, with zombies gathering at Market Square/Scruffy City Hall. If you arrive early, you'll have the chance to get zombified by a makeup artist, making sure you're perfectly ghoulish for the day. At 3:00 PM, the Pumpkin Carving Contest will take place, followed by the Zombie Costume Contest at 3:30 PM. Be sure to bring your A-game for a chance to win!

At 4:30 PM, Greg Krucial Carney and The K-Town Ghosts and Zombies will perform, setting the tone for the big moment—the Zombie Walk, which begins at 5:00 PM. The walk will shuffle its way through Market Square, wrapping up around 6:00 PM with a special "Thrill the World" Knoxville performance to close out the festivities.

Don't miss out on this frightfully fun event for a good cause! More Info

9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb took place yesterday (October 6th) at the First Horizon building on Gay Street. It was a beautiful morning for such a special event. Firefighters, police officers, rescue workers, and many high school ROTC cadets climbed 110 stories to honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who sacrificed their lives on that tragic day.

The opening ceremony was emceed by Senator Becky Duncan Massey, with remarks from Representative Tim Burchett, Knoxville Mayor Indy Kincannon, and Police Chief Sean Patterson. Each speaker expressed the same heartfelt sentiment: that the men and women who respond to disasters are true heroes, deserving of recognition and honor every day.

Proceeds from participant fees help support the families of fallen firefighters and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit through NFFF programs. It was truly a wonderful event to remember and reflect.
